Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate project cost estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring competitive pricing. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic environment, contributing to the successful delivery of construction initiatives. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive bids and proposals.
Duties
- Receive customer request for estimate/quote
- Analyze/review estimate/quote
- Prepare detailed and thorough estimate/quote
- Submit estimate/quote to appropriate persons (project manager, client)
- Follow up with clients after submission
- Prepare changes to costs estimates when customer change plan or when availability or costing of material changes
- Submit final estimate /quote to Order Writing when approved and accompanied by a customer Purchase Order
- Create and maintain a data source for tracking the receipt and progress of all estimate/quote requests
- Build solid relationships with customer base
- Ensure all requests for estimates/quotes and communications are responded to in a timely manner
- Work with Manufacturing/Scheduling for all material needs and scheduling
- Work with Order Writing to ensure smooth transition of projects
- When required assist in Order Writing Dept
Requirements
- Previous experience in the hollow-metal, commercial doors, or related construction industry preferred.
- College diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a similar program.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
