We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Flooring Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their flooring needs and recommend suitable products based on their project requirements
- Manage inside sales activities, including POS transactions, cash handling, and account management
- Upsell premium products and additional services through effective negotiation and persuasive communication
- Assist customers with sample selection, merchandising, and showroom presentation to enhance the shopping experience
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and follow-up for repeat business
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new products, special offers, and seasonal promotions
- Provide expert advice on renovation, construction, or remodeling projects involving flooring installations
- Maintain organized records of sales activities and customer interactions to ensure excellent service continuity
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or inside sales within the home improvement, renovation, or construction industry
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to upsell and close high-end sales effectively
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities in English; multilingual skills are advantageous
- Basic math skills for estimating project costs and managing POS transactions
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, and marketing strategies to attract and retain customers
- Experience working with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering is desirable
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple accounts and maintaining detailed records
