CSC Nouvelon welcomes over 5,400 students distributed across 35 teaching locations, including 25 elementary schools, 9 secondary schools, and the Carrefour Options+, and has approximately 1,600 employees.

CSC Nouvelon is looking for a Superintendent of Education to contribute to the implementation of its multi-year strategic plan.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Education and Secretary-Treasurer, the Superintendent of Education contributes to the implementation of the CSC Nouvelon's multi-year strategic plan. Working in an environment of professional collaboration, this educational leader ensures the success and well-being of every student in a Francophone and Catholic environment.
The incumbent is also responsible for school supervision as well as systemic files, including the Mathematics Success Action Plan, in accordance with the Education Act and its regulations. They contribute to the implementation of the Council's vision for the future of learning, promote French-language Catholic education, and adhere to Francophone culture and Catholic values.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise student success, teaching, and curriculum implementation in the schools under their responsibility
- Participate in the development and revision of the Council's improvement plan and set SMART objectives aligned with the strategic plan
- Measure and manage the effectiveness of school principals through student results, and build their leadership capacity
- Establish a shared vision focused on language, faith, and culture, and translate it into concrete objectives with school teams
- Build trusting relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners
- Direct the teaching program by ensuring that student results remain at the center of decisions and resource allocation
- Administer the files and budgets entrusted to them, including the piloting of the Mathematics Success Action Plan
- Act as a resource person for the School Board, the Catholic Education Council and their committees, and present reports to them
- Recruit, mentor, and retain staff mobilized around the Council's objectives
- Represent the Council in its relations with the Ministry, community agencies, and various external organizations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with increasing responsibility in educational leadership positions
- Master's or doctorate level education
- Member in good standing and certificate of qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers*
- Principal's Qualification (Part 1 and 2)*
- Ontario Supervisory Officer Certificate, obtained or in the process of being obtained*
- Religious Education Specialist (or commitment to obtain it within the first three years of employment)
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory of CSC Nouvelon
- Applications from other provinces are welcomed. Qualifications, certificates, and years of experience obtained outside of Ontario will be studied in light of the equivalencies recognized by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and the requirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
