Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team in delivering high-quality food service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and hospitality skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payment handling
- Manage cash handling accurately and efficiently during transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas, adhering to food safety protocols
- Ensure all food items are prepared safely, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience
- Follow all restaurant policies regarding food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, preferably in restaurants or similar settings
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
- Experience in cashiering or serving roles within the food industry is highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience that demonstrates familiarity with food industry standards is a plus
- Upselling abilities to promote additional menu items and enhance sales performance
