Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Associate Dentist role based in Edmonton, AB. The Associate Dentist will provide comprehensive clinical care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative dentistry, cosmetic procedures, all within their scope of experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine and complex dental procedures, interpreting radiographs, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and following evidence-based clinical protocols. The role also involves educating patients about treatment options and preventive care, coordinating with hygienists and dental assistants, and contributing to a respectful, efficient, and safety-focused clinic environment. The Associate Dentist will be expected to uphold professional standards, comply with regulatory guidelines, and participate in continuing education and practice improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Dentist in Alberta, with good standing in the relevant regulatory body.
- Strong clinical skills in general dentistry, including diagnosis, restorative procedures, and preventive care.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain treatment options clearly and support patient-centered decision-making.
- High standards of infection control, clinical documentation, and adherence to practice policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, openness to feedback, and interest in long-term growth with the practice.
- Previous experience in a private practice setting is an asset, but early-career dentists with strong clinical foundations are also encouraged to apply.
