We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and build resilient enterprise services and web applications in a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on developing secure, scalable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, SQL, and AWS. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance cards and payments processing, optimize data flows, and improve customer and business partner experiences across the platform lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot to support high-volume transaction processing and integrations
Build clean, maintainable, and testable APIs and microservices following coding best practices
Develop and optimize SQL / PL-SQL queries in MySQL to ensure performance, data integrity, and efficiency
Create responsive and intuitive frontend components using JavaScript for business and operations workflows
Configure and leverage AWS services (compute, storage, database, messaging) for scalable and cost-efficient deployments
Develop automated unit, integration, and component tests and support CI/CD pipelines
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to ensure engineering standards and continuous improvement
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and QA teams to refine requirements and deliver business value
Create and maintain technical documentation, system designs, and architecture diagrams
Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with payment and data security regulations
Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in full stack development and cloud-native solutions
Identify automation opportunities to improve build, deployment, and monitoring processes Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
6–9 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend or full-stack development
Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot , including RESTful services and microservices architecture
Advanced proficiency in SQL / PL-SQL and MySQL (query tuning, schema design, transactional systems)
Hands-on experience with AWS services for application hosting, scalability, and monitoring
Solid experience with JavaScript for web application development and API integration
Experience in cards and payments domain (authorization, settlement, disputes)
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, best practices, and secure coding principles Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in high-volume transaction environments
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements in financial systems
