Overview
We are seeking a skilled people 18+ with a valid Smart Serve certificate, for the role of Server to join Lion Head Pub. The ideal candidates will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Preference will be given to candidates local to Cochrane.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages to customers following standard recipes
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and dining area and adhere to food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Assist in restocking bar inventory and supplies
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Skills
- Proficient in POS systems for order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Experience in the food industry, particularly in a pub/restaurant setting
- Ability to work well under pressure during very busy periods
