Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience with electronic medical records, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and a solid foundation in medical terminology.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments and review medical histories.
- See patients on a daily basis and assist with ongoing patient care.
- Review laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and specialist reports.
- Document patient encounters accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Assist physicians with treatment planning and follow-up care.
- Communicate test results and treatment recommendations to patients as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Perform front desk and administrative duties as required.
- Ensure referrals, consultation requests, and medical reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordinate communication with specialists, healthcare facilities, and community providers.
- Monitor outstanding referrals and reports to ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Assist with scheduling, patient inquiries, and general clinic operations.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR (Our office uses Oscar EMR)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Familiarity with medical office operations and healthcare compliance standards
Schedule
- Ideally, the successful candidate will be available to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Schedule flexibility is available and can be discussed based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and availability.
