SUMMARY
Our Oval Room (Evening) Line Cooks prepare food and are responsible for the line’s workflow and getting meals out on time. They oversee the cooking process from start to finish and must be capable of accurately determining how much time each cooking step requires for exceptional quality and presentation.
Availability: Open from 12pm to 12am throughout the week including weekends and holidays
RESPONSABILITIES:
Take an active role in the production and presentation of all food products for Oval Room and Club Room to maintain the best quality food style possible while adhering to menu specifications.
Work independently and with a team of Cooks to handle varying levels of activity in the kitchen.
Follow any and all recipes as they apply to any food products that you prepare.
Ensure food is stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated to ensure high standards of freshness, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area that meets Provincial Health Standards; daily cleaning and organizational standards must be met throughout shift.
Other duties as assigned.
PREREQUISITES
3 years experience as a cook preferred.
High School diploma/GED required, culinary degree an asset.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to exert well paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting.
Excellent communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Positive attitude and a consistent display of professionalism.
Ability to take constructive feedback and leadership.
Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Team player with the ability to communicate professionally with all hotel team members/departments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
