Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Baker/Pastry Production Worker to join our dynamic food manufacturing team. This role involves preparing, baking, and packaging a variety of baked goods and pastries in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production, strong attention to sanitation, and the ability to work efficiently within food safety standards. Duties
- Prepare and assemble ingredients for baking and pastry production according to recipes and specifications
- Operate bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and packaging machinery
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards through proper inspection and testing
- Package finished products accurately for distribution, utilizing proper techniques to maintain freshness and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage of ingredients and supplies
- Support the use of mechanical tools and equipment, troubleshooting minor issues as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
Requirements
- Prior experience in the food industry, manufacturing, or food processing.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential
- Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and quality control tasks
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating packaging or bakery equipment is a plus
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive motions
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment within a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Pay: $16.70-$26.20 per hour
