Rate of Pay: $30.43 per hour
The start date will follow the selection process.
Main Function: Responsible to the Co-ordinator of Finance (Transit and Fleet) to perform the duties of assisting the Equipment Parts Expediter with receiving, distributing and organizing various stockroom materials.
Characteristic: Under the general supervision of the Co-ordinator of Finance (Transit and Fleet).
Duties:
1. Receive, ship, label and store materials following established practices.
2. Reconcile packing slips to orders received.
3. Monitor and ship cores, and other returns as requested by the Equipment Parts Expediter.
4. Pick, organize and deliver request for materials orders from Fleet Technician and other approved staff following established practices.
5. Deliver and pick up materials to offsite depots within the Greater Sudbury area, as required.
6. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including routine housekeeping (e.g. clearing of aisles, sweeping and other related duties).
7. Report any receiving or in stock discrepancies to the Equipment Parts Expediter for adjustment in the computerized system.
8. Assist the Equipment Parts Expediter with the maintenance of a parts warranty program on all stock and contact suppliers as needed, with direction from the Co-ordinator of Finance (Transit and Fleet).
9. Assist with scheduled physical inventory counts; perform counting and recording of on hand stock and other related duties from the Co-ordinator of Finance (Transit and Fleet).
10. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS’s Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
11. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Education and Training:
- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years direct cumulative experience working in a warehousing environment.
- Working knowledge of at least one (1) inventory management software system/program.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to properly and safely operate a forklift. Possessing a valid Forklift Operator Licence in good standing and/or working experience with other lift equipment (e.g. lift truck, reach truck, etc.) considered an asset.
- Must be physically capable of lifting items up to 60 lbs.
- Demonstrated understanding of the maintenance, repair and parts of vehicles, and related equipment considered an asset.
- The use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Work, e-mail, as well as other software and administrative systems in a Windows environment considered an asset.
- Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history.
- May require the use of a CGS vehicle on CGS business. Must be physically capable of operating a vehicle safely, possess a valid “G” driver’s license, and have an acceptable driving record.
- Possessing a valid “D” driver’s license considered an asset.
This job is also being posted as a development opportunity. Should there be no fully qualified candidate for this position, a candidate who can be expected to meet the required qualifications within a reasonable period of time may be considered for this position as a development opportunity.
Development opportunity rate of pay: $28.91 per hour. The successful candidate will be paid at the reduced rate until the minimum qualifications have been met.
