Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Echocardiogram Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac conditions. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to operate specialized imaging equipment with precision. The Echocardiogram Technician plays a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring accurate diagnostic results.
Duties
- Prepare patients for echocardiogram procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate echocardiography equipment to capture detailed images of the heart’s structure and function.
- Assist physicians in interpreting imaging results and prepare reports for review.
- Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Document patient information accurately and ensure all procedures comply with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing questions or concerns throughout the procedure.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to cardiology and diagnostic imaging.
- Excellent technical skills in operating echocardiography equipment and related imaging tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients.
- Certification required
- Prior experience with patient positioning and comfort techniques is advantageous.
Pay: $30.00-$42.00 per hour
