Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic French Speaking Junior High Math Tutor to join our educational team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and support middle school students in mastering essential math concepts while fostering confidence and a love for learning. As a key member of our tutoring program, you will deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs, helping them achieve academic success in a supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions in French to junior high students, focusing on core math topics such as algebra, geometry, and basic arithmetic
- Assess each student’s current understanding and develop customized lesson plans to address their specific learning needs
- Use effective teaching strategies to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and engagingly
- Incorporate technology and computer skills to enhance learning experiences and provide interactive lessons
- Track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instruction accordingly
- Support students with special education needs by adapting methods to ensure inclusive learning opportunities
- Maintain a positive, motivating environment that encourages student participation and confidence building
Requirements
- Fluency in French with excellent communication skills in both spoken and written forms
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting, especially with middle school students
- Strong knowledge of math concepts relevant to junior high curriculum and the ability to teach these effectively
- Background in tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience is highly desirable
- Proficiency with computer skills and familiarity with educational technology tools
- Experience or training related to special education is a plus
- Knowledge of computer science or related technical fields is beneficial but not mandatory
