Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of pediatric patients to diagnose health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Administer medications and oversee pain management strategies effectively.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for accurate documentation and data collection.
- Coordinate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide education to families regarding health maintenance, medication administration, and home care procedures.
- Monitor patient progress during follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Stay current with pediatric medical research and best practices to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, medical terminology standards, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure in the state of practice.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics in Alberta
- Proven experience in hospital settings, acute care, or research related to pediatrics is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, pain management, and patient care procedures.
- Experience working with electronic health records such as Epic and Cerner systems.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients’ families and healthcare teams.
- Background in medical office operations, data collection, and home care services is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams dedicated to pediatric health. Pay: $215,432.65-$453,312.83 per year
