We are seeking a skilled Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, particularly with light and medium duty trailers. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team and grow within the company
Responsibilities
- Inspect trailer systems and components to diagnose and isolate repairs required.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of trailer systems including trailer electrical and electronic systems, trailer frames, hitching and coupling systems, trailer bodies, trailer suspension parts, tires, wheels, rims, hubs, and axles, trailer braking systems, hydraulic systems, using hand tools and other specialized repair equipment.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service.
- If qualified, fit and weld suspensions, fit and weld aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, fabricate body components.
- Advise supervisors on work performed, general trailer condition and future repair requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in a timely manner
Experience
- Experience in Trailer Service, CVIP certified required
- Light and medium duty trailers experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Welding an asset
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be client focused and a team player.
