Position Summary
The Estimator / Project Manager is responsible for managing industrial projects from initial customer inquiry through final completion. This role develops estimates and proposals, coordinates project execution, manages budgets and schedules, and serves as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically minded, customer-focused, and driven to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget.
What You'll Do
Estimating & Sales Support
- Review customer requests, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare estimates, quotations, proposals, and project scopes.
- Coordinate pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Identify project risks, assumptions, and opportunities.
- Follow up on quotations and support business development efforts.
- Participate in customer meetings and site visits to develop practical solutions.
Project Management
- Manage projects from award through close-out.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project costs, profitability, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage change orders, project documentation, and progress reporting.
- Resolve issues proactively to keep projects moving forward.
Customer & Vendor Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Provide regular project updates and manage customer expectations.
- Coordinate vendor activities, material deliveries, and project logistics.
Technical Coordination
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop effective project solutions.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Support equipment selection, design reviews, and technical submittals.
- Ensure project deliverables meet customer requirements and applicable industry standards.
Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and company culture programs as required.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in estimating, project management, construction, manufacturing, industrial services, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Considered an Asset
- PMP designation or working toward certification.
- Experience with overhead cranes, hoists, lifting equipment, fabrication, structural steel, or engineered products.
- Knowledge of CSA, CMAA, CWB, or related industry standards.
- Experience using ERP, CRM, estimating, or project management software.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
