Position Title: Manager, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships
Location: Toronto, ON
Reports to: VP Philanthropic Partnerships
I. Scope and Summary of Primary Responsibilities
The Manager, Corporate and Foundation Partnerships will grow and steward a portfolio of national corporate and foundation donors and sponsors through strategic outreach, proposal writing, and donor engagement initiatives.
This position requires exceptional skills as a communicator and partnership builder. The right candidate will be entrepreneurial, confident in building relationships, and able to deliver on ambitious targets.
The position entails, but is not limited to the following general responsibilities:

Manage a pipeline of 70-90 corporate and foundation partners through effective relationship building, including cultivation, salutation, and stewardship activities,

Grow the number of corporate and foundation partners who support CNIB’s mission financially, with a focus on priority prospects with national reach capacity starting at $10,000 with the ability to grow over time.

Work with the VP and the Marketing and Communications Team to develop and deliver corporate recognition opportunities, sponsorship programs, and cause marketing collaborations

Apply a cross-functional lens to corporate partnerships by identifying opportunities that engage multiple teams, i.e. employee volunteerism, employee giving, cause marketing, and senior leadership giving.

Support the development of recognition programs for corporate and foundation donors.

Manage and complete, as required, writing, design, and production of stewardship materials, such as thank- you letters, emails and prospectuses, and donor impact reports.

Maintain donor databases, including detailed records of all interactions.

Work with Gift Management Team to ensure gifts are processed effectively and efficiently.
III. Qualifications
Knowledge and Skill Requirements

Relevant experience in corporate and foundation fundraising and demonstrated experience securing donations and sponsorships valued up to $100,000

Strong project management and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail, follow‑through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and prospects.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and reporting skills.

Experience developing cause marketing programs, including point-of-sale, is considered an asset.

Executes ideas and meets deadlines with excellent organizational & project management abilities, attention to detail and follow-through.

Knowledge of fundraising software and databases, including Salesforce.

Commitment to the mission and values of CNIB.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Adheres to applicable privacy laws as well as AFP, CAGP and CNIB standards of discretion and confidentiality.

Willingness to work flexible hours.

Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.

Experience working with or serving diverse communities is an asset.
Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in fundraising, business, nonprofit management, or a related field.
