Subject: Job opening for a locally-recruited staff for the position of Embassy Driver
The Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa is seeking eligible and qualified candidates for the position of Embassy Driver. The starting salary is CAN$3,105.00 per month with an annual incremental increase and a year-end bonus. The start date is on 1 October 2026.

Details are as follows:
1.Qualifications:
1.1 Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
1.2 Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with at least five years of driving experience; work experience with government or international organizations will be given special consideration
1.3 Minimum vocational education; proficient in English; knowledge of French will be considered an asset
1.4 Good conduct with no criminal record
1.5 Responsible, patient, professional with good interpersonal skills; able to drive safely and coordinate with relevant parties
1.6 Willing to work overtime and holidays, and able to travel outside the city and across provinces
1.7 Must comply with the Embassy’s smoke-free workplace policy

2.1 Cover letter and résumé in English
2.2 Copy of passport (or Permanent Resident card)
2.3 Driver’s record/abstract
2.4 Criminal record check
The list of candidates will be announced on 11 August 2026, for an interview
at the Royal Thai Embassy on 17 August 2026.
