Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Automotive Glass Shop helper to join our team. This role involves assisting with the installation, replacement, and repair of automotive glass while developing hands-on skills in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has some prior experience in automotive work, basic mechanical knowledge, and a willingness to learn from experienced technicians. Duties
- Assist in removing damaged or broken automotive glass safely and efficiently
- Support installation of new or replacement glass using proper tools and techniques
- Help inspect vehicles for additional damage related to glass issues
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety standards during all work
- Use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks on time
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications
- Some prior experience in automotive repair, detailing, or a related field is an asset (entry-level candidates welcome)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and interest in automotive systems
- Familiarity with hand tools and willingness to learn power tool use
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting with proper technique
- Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn quality workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to take direction and work independently when needed
- Valid driver’s license required
- Rock chip repair experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
