Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lawyer to join our legal team primarily in the area of Civil Litigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of legal principles, and experience civil litigation. Candidates with 2-3 years of experience are preferred.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse legal matters while developing your skills within the organization. The Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal advice, managing clients, and handling litigation matters on behalf of the firm's clients in a variety of legal areas.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on various issues affecting clients;
- Manage litigation matters from commencement through completion;
- Write clear, concise legal documents, briefs, and pleadings tailored to the litigation subject matter;
- Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients.
Skills
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal content
- Strong time management skills to coordinate multiple files efficiently
- Strong legal research skills in support of preparing legal arguments and advocacy
- Effective communication skills suitable for courtroom settings
- Knowledge of instructional design principles to enhance learning experiences
- Ability to manage client expectations, and litigation steps, with professionalism and clarity
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work

Candidates are required to be entitled to practice law in the Province of Alberta, and to be in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
