Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team for work in the Fraser Valley Including Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford and Chilliwack with a possibly remote work for 2 weeks at a time in northern BC. Remote work includes accommodation and meals.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting disciplines, including residential, commercial, restoration, and industrial painting. This role requires a strong understanding of construction and restoration processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet and exceed project specifications.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stains, coatings, and finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Operate rigging equipment and scaffolding safely for elevated or hard-to-reach areas
- Perform restoration work on damaged surfaces or structures to restore them to their original condition
- Use carpentry skills for minor repairs or adjustments needed before painting
- Manage time effectively to complete projects within designated schedules
- Communicate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met and expectations are exceeded
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly disposing of waste materials and cleaning tools after use
- Must have reliable transportation
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years proven executive level painting experience in custom home residential painting.
- Proficient with hand tools, spray equipment, power tools, scaffolding, and caulking techniques.
- Strong customer service skills with excellent English and the ability to effectively communicate with trades, clients and team members
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites and painting environments
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
