TalentWorld is recruiting a detail-oriented Precision Polisher to join one of its valued manufacturing partners in Oakville. This is a unique position that involves operating specialized polishing equipment to produce high-quality precision components that meet both dimensional tolerances and cosmetic standards.
While direct experience with the company's specific polishing equipment is an asset, it is not expected. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in a precision manufacturing or job shop environment who have experience using hand tools, grinders, polishing equipment, or other manual finishing tools. - Operate specialized polishing equipment to achieve precise surface finishes on machined components.
- Use manual polishing, grinding, deburring, and finishing techniques as required.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional tolerances and cosmetic quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and specifications.
- Identify and correct imperfections while maintaining required tolerances.
- Handle components carefully to prevent damage during the finishing process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with machinists and quality personnel to ensure customer specifications are consistently met.
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment.
- Experience in a job shop is strongly preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, grinders, polishers, deburring tools, or other manual finishing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cosmetic imperfections and maintain consistent quality.
- Comfortable working to tight tolerances while meeting visual finish requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or other inspection equipment is considered an asset.
- Strong manual dexterity and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a production environment.
- Experience with precision polishing, surface finishing, deburring, or metal finishing.
- Familiarity with machining processes and machined components.
- Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, tool steel, or other engineered materials.
- Background in aerospace, automotive, medical, or other precision manufacturing industries is considered an asset.
- Competitive hourly wage of $30.00–$35.00, based on experience.
