Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health, and supporting the overall operations of our dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with dentists
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software such as Dentrix
- Support orthodontic procedures when necessary, including patient education on appliance care
- Provide compassionate care to pediatric patients and address their specific needs
- Ensure a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Handle patient inquiries professionally, delivering excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the state of practice
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred, especially with pediatric patients or orthodontic procedures
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enabling effective communication with diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health care
- Experience in dental assisting or working closely with dental teams is beneficial but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming environment for patients
