TalentWorld is recruiting a Commercial Transport Mechanic supporting Western Canada for one of its valued partners in the zero-emission transit industry.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
After-hours or weekend support may be required in the event of breakdowns

Commercial Transport Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair warranty and non-warranty issues on transit and commercial vehicles
- Perform PDI inspections on new vehicles
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems independently
- Document service work required for warranty claim processing
- Provide daily service reports and parts requisitions
- Communicate repair plans and findings to customers and the After Sales Service Manager
- Work closely with engineering teams to support root cause analysis
- Initiate parts orders to ensure timely repairs
- Support fleet uptime across British Columbia, with occasional travel to Alberta
Commercial Transport Mechanic Qualifications:
- Valid BC Commercial Transport Vehicle Mechanic license, Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic license, or 310T Interprovincial license
- Valid Class B or C driver’s license with Z endorsement
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in transit and/or commercial vehicle industries
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated experience communicating directly with customers
- Must possess own complete set of mechanics’ tools
