LeeCaring Communities is seeking a compassionate and energetic Therapy Aide to join our Recreation Department. In this role, you will support residents in meaningful recreational, social, cognitive, and therapeutic activities that enhance quality of life, promote independence, and foster a sense of purpose and belonging.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational and therapeutic programs for residents.
- Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
- Support residents during outings, events, and special programs.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members.
- Assist with activity documentation, program setup, and equipment preparation.
- Promote resident safety and well-being while supporting resident-centered care.
Qualifications
- Recreation Therapy Aide, Health Care Aide, Therapy Assistant, or related education/experience preferred.
- Experience working with seniors, dementia care, or long-term care is an asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required.
Pay: $19.82-$25.05 per hour
