We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer helper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, and laminate, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by measuring, cutting, and leveling floors according to project specifications
- Install flooring materials such as tile, hardwood, laminate, or vinyl with precision and attention to detail
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and secure flooring components
- Perform surface preparation tasks including caulking, sealing, and leveling as needed
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within scope
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation processes
Requirements
- Proficiency with hand tools, carpentry techniques, and blueprint reading
- Knowledge of flooring materials, surface preparation, and finishing techniques such as caulking
- Handyman experience or background in construction is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safety awareness
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks efficiently
- Driver's licence
- Fluent in English
