Your role in our team:
As an Equipment Operator in our Production Team, it will be your responsibility to ensure the proper functioning
of the equipment, optimizing operations. Support the daily operations by way of clearing system faults (technical
or operational), identify areas of improvement, and monitoring material workflow using system reports and
dialogues.
Ideal candidate profile:
As an Equipment Operator, you’re hands-on and detail-oriented, with a practical mindset and the ability to
quickly learn new tasks. You take safety seriously and approach your work with professionalism and
responsibility. You’re comfortable working independently or as part of a team, and you adjust easily to changing
priorities and shift schedules. You’re confident using digital systems and take pride in keeping your workspace
clean, organized, and efficient.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Specific technical education is an asset
- Training in entry-level electromechanics an asset
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Must be able to workdays, evenings, nights and weekends
- Ability to travel for training if required
Skills/Experience Required:
- Technically and mechanically inclined
- Practical attitude and ability to learn new tasks, concepts and procedures
- PC skills in a Windows environment
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 30 meters after extensive training and with
adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) including a fall protection safety harness
- Must be able to work in conditions of +5C up to -28C with personal protective equipment (PPE) provided
including cold temperature gear, facial gear, gloves, and handwarmers
- Must be able to workdays, evenings nights and weekends (After ramp up begins, preferred shifts will be
assigned based on hire date)
- Ability to travel if required for training
- Training in entry-level electromechanics an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Report product and equipment issues in assigned areas
- Clear machine faults in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
- Adhere to fault-solving procedures
- Maintain and ensure the cleanliness of the workplace, in an organized manner and free of debris
- Return all products and cases outside of automation to designated areas
- Regularly sweep floors, and remove dust from and underneath equipment and panels
- Monitor system performance and operational status
- Escalate repetitive faults
- Provide feedback and updates on system performance
- Adhere to 5s principles
- Attend pre-shift meetings and review the information from a daily PowerPoint presentation
- Other duties as assigned
