Our Company: Allumette Forestry is based in the Ottawa Valley and is involved in all aspects of forestry, including silviculture, planning, operations and management.
Position Overview: Allumette Forestry is in search of a brushsaw operator to perform manual forestry tending activities. Operators are required to cut brush with clearing/thinning saw (Stihl FS 460). Previous experience in tending or thinning is considered an asset but not required. Equipment and training are provided.
Workers may also perform other forestry work such as tree planting and surveying.
Daily production bonuses available in addition to hourly pay.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of tree species identification
- Ability to navigate difficult terrain in all forms of weather
- Other related experience such as tree planting or logging
- Driver’s license (G or equivalent)
- Professional Chainsaw Operator License (optional)
