We are seeking trustworthy and reliable Drivers (Class 5) and Labor workers to join our team. In these roles, you will be responsible for safely loading, transporting, and unloading goods for both residential and commercial clients.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and works well as part of a team. You should be comfortable with physically demanding work and demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure all items are handled with care and professionalism throughout the moving process.
Driver Job -Duties:
- Operate and drive vehicles to transport household goods and materials
- Work with knowledgeable crews to complete moves within the Dartmouth area, and on out-of-town trips
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections on vehicle and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, and hours of service
- Maintain contact with dispatcher in accordance with travel plan
- Loading and unloading the truck
- Provide exceptional customer service as you safely move, pack and unpack customers’ belongings.
- Wrap, pack and unpack items in an organized and efficient manner to prevent damage.
- Communicate with clients in a professional manner.
Labor Workers:
- Provide exceptional customer service as you safely move, pack and unpack customers’ belongings.
- Wrap, pack and unpack items in an organized and efficient manner to prevent damage.
- Communicate with clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to work with a team and follow instructions from the leader for smoother operations.
- Assist with paperwork such as inventory checklist and client forms.
- Follow company safety standards and rules and regulations to minimize potential risks.
- Communicate with team members and customers in a professional manner
Job Requirements Drivers:
- Valid driver's Class 5 with Airbrake endorsement and a clean driving abstract
- Ability to carry and lift heavy items (50 – 100lbs) for an extended period.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian driving rules and regulations
- Demonstrated time management skills
