Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with heavy equipment and contribute to the efficient operation of our supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and freight vehicles to deliver goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation, preferably with heavy equipment operation and forklift handling
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus but not required
- Prior experience operating heavy machinery or industrial equipment is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and work independently in a fast-paced environment
