JMR Electric Ltd is currently looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Coordinator, reporting to our Mechanical Project Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed seamlessly by aligning cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and driving operational excellence. Your organizational and prioritization skills will be crucial to driving project success.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with the Mechanical Project Manager to meet project goals, policies, procedures, and performance standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and contract specifications.
- Manage material take-offs and issue purchase orders.
- Prepare as-built drawings and operational/maintenance manuals, ensuring accurate documentation for every phase of the project.
- Foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
- Review drawings and specifications to guarantee accuracy in product and material requirements.
- Drive project planning and construction schedules and collaborate with the site foreman/site manager to ensure milestones are met and work is completed on time.
- Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, price these changes for consultant and owner approval.
- Develop progress reports and ensure schedules are communicated clearly to clients.
- Monitor budgets, ensuring projects stay within financial targets and avoid cost overruns.
- Maintain project timelines by regularly updating and adjusting schedules as needed.
- Promote project health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with or exceeding legislated requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree or diploma in Construction Engineering Technology (Management), Architectural Technology, or related Electrical/Mechanical college programs.
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing medium-sized construction projects.
- Hands-on experience and solid understanding of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Controls.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with contract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, and codes of construction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
- Proficiency in technology, with skills in MS Excel, Word, Project, AutoCAD/Revit.
- A team player with experience working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Self-motivated and eager to further develop skills and knowledge.
- Proficiency in project management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
