Job Summary
Atlanta Flooring Centre Ltd is seeking reliable and efficient Delivery Persons to join our team on an on call basis. Ideal for those looking to supplement with some part time work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to customers, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, physical endurance, and experience in warehouse operations or commercial driving. The Delivery Person plays a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for dependable service.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload items using moving equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or fragile items.
- Ensure accurate delivery of products by verifying orders and obtaining customer signatures upon receipt.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and address any questions or concerns professionally.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during deliveries to ensure personal and public safety.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management and moving stock within the facility when not on delivery routes.
- Observe site safety rules and wear proper safety equipment.
Requirements
- Experience with warehouse operations, moving, or forklift operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Prior experience in customer service is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and warehouse work.
- Reliable transportation to reach the warehouse or starting point daily.
