Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our maintenance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting heavy machinery. This role is vital to ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of our equipment, supporting continuous production operations. Candidates should have excellent analysis skills, the ability to interpret schematics, and experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CMMS systems, and low voltage electrical systems. Industrial electrician experience, HVAC knowledge, welding skills, boiler expertise, and customer service orientation are highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy equipment and industrial machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and analysis skills
- Utilize CMMS software for work order management and maintenance tracking
- Repair or replace components such as motors, pumps, valves, belts, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct welding repairs as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Diagnose electrical problems involving low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Assist with HVAC systems and boiler maintenance to ensure optimal operational conditions
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance or heavy equipment repair within manufacturing settings
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including low voltage systems
- Familiarity with schematics, CMMS software, PLCs, HVAC systems, boilers, welding techniques, and industrial electrician practices
- Ability to analyze complex problems quickly and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills in English for documentation and teamwork purposes
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Relevant certifications or training in industrial electrician work, welding, HVAC, or boiler operation are preferred
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment while adhering to all safety standards and procedures
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
