Summary
As a Senior Traffic Coordinator at Globalla Inc, you will play a vital role in managing the flow of products and information throughout our supply chain. This position is essential to ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently while supporting our commitment to quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with suppliers, forwarders, and verify PO details, inspection status, vessel dates, and destination with production, sales, planner to confirm booking
- Check ocean freight rates and pre-book space as needed
- Verify shipping documents to ensure correct detail in terms of account billing, invoice details, HTS, description product type, quantity, unit price, container number, etc.
- Trace any discrepancies and enter correct data in system
- Email shipment number and factory's documents to AP team
- Send documentation to customs broker and warehouse
- E-file the shipping document set and related emails
- Book trucking for container pickup/delivery and cross border shipments
- Track and trace shipments with forwarder on HBL release, DO, PU number, and connect trucker to the warehouse for delivery arrangement
- Follow-up the shipments and respond to all departments' status inquires
- Communicate with warehouse and 3PLs if any delays, shortages and overages, to maintain customers’ shipping dates and requirements.
- Approve service invoices of freight, inland transportation, duties and brokerage fee
- Update excel costing files with freight, inland, brokerage, and import duties taxes
- Overcome problems in transit, terminal and customs holds
- Send bi-weekly report to warehouses or 3PLs for visibility of the next incoming shipments
- Provide customer PO information to 3PLs to prepare shipments to handover on-time
- Process and verify paperwork for FOB shipments
- Update inventory list
- Create shipment, ASN & invoice in customers’ portal systems
Requirements:
- 3-5 years in traffic logistics
- Experience working with USA, an asset
- Experience working in the Apparel industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
