Experienced Cost Estimator with design experience for metal stamping company
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Position duties will include, but not limited to:
- Must have Progressive and Auto transfer Die Knowledge
- Must be able to work with sales and engineering team
- Ability to create a strip layout for progressive dies & Four Slide
- Ability to provide detail tooling cost
- Read, review and approve blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data
- must be proficient in GD& T
- Use computer software to calculate estimates (including CAD software)
- Collaborate with engineers, customers, and contractors on estimates
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials and labour expenses
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Qualifications we are looking for include, but are not limited to:
- Diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent trade experience
- 5 years of cost estimating experience in Metal Stamping Industry
- Excellent computer skills in SOLID WORKS, VISI 21, Auto cad and KEY CREATOR
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft office
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to function both independently and with good judgment in a team environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Standard hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, times may vary depending on requirements
