About Us
We are a growing trucking and logistics company seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver / Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the local trucking industry and be capable of performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers while supporting daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and air system issues.
- Complete service records and maintenance documentation.
- Conduct road tests and equipment checks as required.
- Assist with fleet management and ensure vehicles remain roadworthy.
- Operate commercial vehicles when required.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs when necessary.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or Truck Technician.
- Strong knowledge of commercial truck and trailer maintenance.
- Experience working within the local trucking industry.
- Ability to diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspension, electrical, and air systems.
- Must be fluent in English and Punjabi.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- CVIP certification (considered an asset).
- Welding and fabrication experience (considered an asset).
- Experience with Freightliner, Volvo, Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Western Star trucks.
