The Light Duty/Commercial Fleet sales rep is responsible for performing all outside sales duties to maximize the company’s market share of mechanical service and maintenance work as well as commercial tire sales. The successful candidate will be professional, accountable and enthusiastic about generating and responding to sales leads within the LDF services sector. This position will report to, and have support from, the Sales Management team.
The candidate will also possess a demonstrated understanding of the commercial sales process and a strong working knowledge of mechanical fundamentals of vehicles, and proven abilities with accurate fleet inspections. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and the ability to organize time around uncovering leads, sales calls, follow ups, tracking and reporting is required.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Primarily responsible for outside sales process, with emphasis on light duty fleet services (maintenance, inspections) as well as commercial tire sales (applications and fitments)
Maintain existing client relationships with proactive and professional management
· Prepare proposals and present this information clearly, accurately and professionally
· Maintain and track all leads and contacts – communicate this weekly
· Conduct and accurately document fleet inspections
· Meet monthly sales targets
Qualifications & Skills
· College diploma preferred: business, sales or similar
· 2-3 years’ retail automotive or fleet sales experience in the tire industry
· Articulate and compelling communication skills, both written and verbal
· An attitude of professionalism and integrity; a sense of urgency, and the drive to “go beyond” to establish and maintain solid business relationships
· Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, CRM
· Valid Ontario Driver’s License – full G and clean driver’s abstract
