Key Responsibilities
Compensation Management
- Develop and maintain compensation structures aligned with business goals and market competitiveness
- Conduct job evaluations, job matching, and market pricing using salary surveys and benchmarking tools
- Analyze compensation trends and provided recommendations to support retention, performance, and equity
- Ensure compliance with pay equity, pay transparency, and applicable employment legislation
Benefits Support
- Administer comprehensive benefits programs including health, dental, disability, life insurance, retirement, and wellness initiatives
- Collaborate with vendors and insurers on plan design, renewals, and issue resolution
- Provide employee support and education on benefits programs to enhance engagement and understanding
- Conduct audits of payroll and benefits data to maintain accuracy and integrity
- Maintain HRMS records related to compensation, benefits, and employee lifecycle changes
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations and internal policies related to total rewards
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytics to support leadership decision-making and budgeting
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compensation and benefits
- Partner with communications teams to develop total rewards education materials and strategies
- Deliver training to managers on compensation processes, market data interpretation, and benefits programs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in compensation and benefits administration
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including quantitative and qualitative research capabilities
- Solid understanding of employment laws and compensation regulations
- Proficiency with HRMS systems (ideally Dayforce) and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with job analysis, market pricing, and job matching methodologies
- Detail‑oriented, data‑driven, and passionate about total rewards programs balancing analytics, and employee support
Compensation Range: $75,000 to $85,000. Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.
Location: Please note that this role currently requires 1–2 days per week in the office at our 320 Bay Street location. Beginning January 2027, the office will relocate to Richmond Hill, with an expectation of 2 days per week onsite, increasing to 3 days per week as of June 2027.
