Your future role on our team
The BBA Field Services team is growing across Western Canada, and we’re seeking an experienced industry leader to help shape the future of our high-voltage field services practice. This strategic role is designed for an accomplished professional with deep industry relationships, a strong understanding of utility and industrial power systems and a proven ability to drive growth, build teams and influence strategic direction. Whether your background is in field operations, commissioning, protection and control, utility telecommunications, project delivery or business leadership, you’re recognized by clients and peers as someone who creates opportunities and drives results. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll help define our long-term Field Services strategy while supporting market development, key client relationships, major pursuits, organizational growth and technical excellence across Western Canada.
This role isn’t defined by a single organizational title. Depending on your experience and strengths, it may evolve into a leadership, operational, technical, key account or business development mandate. The common thread is influence: the ability to strengthen BBA's position in the market, attract high-performing talent and create meaningful growth in critical power infrastructure services.

- Develop and execute growth strategies for BBA's High-Voltage Field Services practice
- Identify emerging markets, new service offerings and strategic business opportunities across utility, industrial, generation and infrastructure clients
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with utilities, generation owners, industrial clients, contractors and strategic partners
- Lead or sponsor major pursuits, capture strategies, proposals and commercial negotiations
- Serve as a trusted advisor for key clients and support long-term account growth
- Help expand BBA's capabilities across protection and control, utility telecommunications, high-voltage apparatus, automation, commissioning and specialized field services
- Support our recruiting strategy and help attract high-performing technical and leadership talent to BBA
- Mentor technical, operational and business development leaders within the Field Services group
- Provide strategic guidance on service offerings, organizational structure, succession planning and capability development
- Support pricing strategies, market positioning, competitor intelligence and go-to-market planning
- Influence technical standards, delivery models, service quality expectations and operational best practices
- Collaborate with directors, department managers, project managers, practice leaders and executives to align growth objectives with delivery capacity
- Represent BBA at industry conferences, client meetings, association events and strategic market discussions

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- Fifteen or more years of relevant experience within utility, industrial, generation, commissioning, protection and control, telecommunications, apparatus testing or field services environments
- Demonstrated experience leading significant client accounts, strategic pursuits, business units, field services teams or market growth initiatives
- Established professional network within Western Canadian utility, generation, industrial or contractor markets
- Strong understanding of transmission, distribution, generation and industrial power systems
- Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, pursuit leadership or strategic account growth
- Experience influencing multidisciplinary teams and organizational direction across technical, commercial and operational functions
- Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of project delivery models, pricing strategies, risk allocation and client buying behaviours
- Excellent communication, negotiation, executive presentation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to mentor technical, operational and business development leaders
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and engage directly with key clients, partners and internal teams
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Asset: direct leadership experience within a field services, electrical testing, utility commissioning, protection and control, high-voltage apparatus or utility telecommunications organization
- Asset: existing relationships with utilities, generation owners, industrial operators, EPC firms or major contractors in Western Canada
