8 Ton Mobile crane operator
Atlas-Apex Roofing (Kitchener) Inc. is looking for an experienced 8 Ton Mobile crane operator to start immediately.
This is a full time position. Monday to Friday and some Saturdays, if required. This position will be permanent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver materials and equipment in a safe and timely manner to jobsites
- Pick-up materials and equipment in a safe and timely manner from suppliers
- Crane materials and equipment in a safe and timely manner to rooftops
- Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance of safety policies and procedures of Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and all related governing legislation.
- Participating in health & safety training and other training related to your employment
- Working safety on the job site, using and wearing proper PPE, and reporting hazards
- Other support related duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- DZ/AZ license with an abstract acceptable to Employer; 8 Ton mobile Crane Operator Certification
- Ability to read, comprehend and abide by the rules and regulations of the federal and provincial Governments. Understands log book recording/regulatory compliance;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs
- Reasoning skills to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions
