Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to support our educational team in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. This role involves assisting lead teachers in implementing curriculum, supervising children, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong foundation in early childhood education.
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote developmental growth
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and mealtimes to ensure safety and engagement
- Support individual learning needs, including working with children with disabilities or special needs
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including materials and supplies
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative educational experience
- Support children’s social-emotional development through positive interactions and guidance
- Assist with basic educational tasks such as early math concepts, literacy activities, and motor skill development
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Passion for teaching and supporting early childhood development
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing demeanor to foster a safe learning space

Pay: $20.50-$23.00 per hour
