We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy machinery and a strong understanding of construction equipment. This role involves safely and efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment to support construction projects, ensuring timely completion while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers (large or small), loaders, backhoes, graders, compactors, rollers, dump trucks, bobcats, and forklifts with precision and safety.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, and paving activities as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials as needed.
- Support horizontal drilling operations and other specialized construction tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license, (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Construction experience with a focus on heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is a plus.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a construction environment.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
