Since 1945 – Family owned and operated - Eassons Transportation Group is headquartered in Kentville NS, with terminals in Coldbrook, NS, Sydney, NS, Albany, PEI, Moncton, NB, Mount Pearl, NL, Belleville, ON and Mississauga, ON. Eassons operates approximately 325 trucks and employs over 500 people. Eassons Transportation Group provides dry and temperature-controlled TL/LTL services across Canada and the United States.
Opportunity exists for a Load Builder : This can be a remote position in the Ontario and Maritime Region.
CORE DUTIES:
- Building smart loads in terms of cube and revenue per trip.
- Ontime delivery of the LTL. 3.
- Reduce lbs over the pickup docks, building live loads.
- Reduce lbs over the delivery docks, building for delivery.
- Time on Trailers, working with CSR on both pickup dates, and delivery dates, to reduce the time Eassons has the product on hand.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCES
- Minimum three years verifiable experience as a Canada/USA Planner
- TEAM player
- Stand out, not fit in – if it isn’t working, find a solution
- Ability to prioritize
- Proactive communication
- Excellent geographic knowledge Canada/USA
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency with Truckmate is considered to be an asset
- Relevant post-secondary education or a combination of related education and experience is required
- Demonstrate commitment, focus and drive
- Organized and attention to detail
- Technically/analytically focused
