Yummi Candles, Distillery District (Toronto)
We have an opening at our Yummi Candles store in Distillery District Toronto for a Candle Workshop Associate!
As our front-line staff, you will be introducing customers to all things Yummi and provide in-depth knowledge of our products and company. As an in-store candle pro, you will help customers choose the perfect candles or accessories for their needs or wants. Get in-store sales and systems training and take part in our factory tour and candle-making knowledge sessions at our headquarters. Enjoy discounts and select products.
- The following responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Workshop:
- Lead and demonstrate our candle-making workshops to our customers in a positive and fun manner.
- Educate our customers about candle making, candle care and safety.
- Must be comfortable running the entire backend of workshops including maintenance and upkeep of supply numbers, use of calendar bookings, answering the workshop email (questions, cancellations, scheduling, rescheduling, customer requests/inquiries and reviews).
- Must set up for workshops, finish candles for customers
- Ability to conduct candle corporate events and festivals off-site.
- Educate and implement workshop policies: cancellation policy, age limitations and control agreement
- Other assigned duties presented and requisitioned by management.
Retail:
· Greeting customers; providing outstanding customer service whilst answering any questions.
· Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions and balancing drawers.
· Creating replenishment orders and receiving incoming goods.
· Continual learning of product and systems knowledge.
· Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers; cross-selling products.
· Contribute to the positive development of reviews and customer feedback.
