Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between patients and the clinical team, ensuring seamless communication, appointment scheduling, and treatment plan presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in dental or medical office settings to contribute to patient care and practice efficiency. Candidates with experience in electronic medical records, dental terminology, and supervising staff are highly preferred. A strong understanding of Dentrix software and human resources principles will be advantageous. The Treatment Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing patient experience while supporting the operational success of our practice.
Duties
- Coordinate patient treatment plans by explaining procedures, financing options, and scheduling follow-up appointments
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Utilize Dentrix software to schedule appointments, process billing, and maintain patient information
- Collaborate with dental professionals to ensure timely delivery of care and optimal patient outcomes
- Assist with billing procedures, insurance verifications, and payment collections
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally
- Support human resources functions related to staff scheduling and training as needed
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and practice policies
- Participate in team meetings to improve workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Experience with electronic medical records systems and medical terminology
- Strong understanding of dental office operations, including billing and insurance processing
- Prior experience in healthcare settings such as medical offices or hospitals is highly desirable
- Supervisory experience or leadership skills to oversee staff or team members effectively
- Knowledge of budgeting principles within a healthcare environment
- Background in nursing, acute care, or hospital experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients clearly and empathetically
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality
