We are a busy, family-run collision repair facility with a steady, consistent workflow looking to add an experienced Auto Body Technician. This role is best suited for someone who is confident working independently, can manage a steady workload, and takes pride in quality repairs completed efficiently.
This is not an entry level position. Applicants must be able to handle production expectations and quality common in a busy collision shop.
Languages
Education & Training
- Journeyman Auto Body Technician certification preferred
- Registered apprentice may be considered with proven hands-on experience
- Ongoing training and certifications are an asset
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years automotive collision repair experience preferred
- Experience with modern vehicle construction, including aluminum and high-strength steel, is required
- Frame/Structural Repair
Work Environment
- In-shop
- Dusty, noisy, and odour-prone environment
- Safety-focused workplace with required PPE
Key Responsibilities
- Complete repairs in accordance with manufacturer and insurance standards
- Disassemble and reassemble (R&I) vehicle components
- Perform metal, aluminum, and structural repairs
- Frame and unibody repairs using frame equipment
- Sand, prep, and finish panels for paint
- Mix and apply fillers correctly and efficiently
- Welding (MIG required; aluminum welding an asset)
- Identify additional damage and communicate clearly with management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Required Credentials
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Auto Body Repairer Trade Certification strong asset
- Apprentice must be registered and able to work independently on assigned tasks

Tools & Equipment
- Must supply own tools, including:
- Hammer and dolly set
- Full technician tool set
- Specialty and body repair tools
- Sanding blocks
- PPE required (mask, respirator, safety gear)
- Reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work
