Position: Senior Cook
Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Cook to support the Chef and Manager in the day-to-day food production operations. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in bulk and batch cooking for large groups and is confident working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. This role requires a hands-on individual who is committed to food quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Opening Shifts for the Residence Locations on campus starting from 4:30 am - 12:30 pm
- Shifts range between 2 locations between a 7 day operation
- Assist the Senior Kitchen Coordinator and Manager in executing daily food production in alignment with approved recipes and brand standards.
- Review daily menus, organize tasks, and begin production as directed by the Chef and Management team.
- Prepare meals in batch or bulk quantities for service, ensuring consistency in quality, portion size, and presentation. (Numbers range from 200-800 per meal period)
- Provide assistance and relief on various kitchen workstations as needed to support smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment at all times, in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of ingredients and supplies, including refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas.
- Support cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Follow proper food handling procedures, with an understanding of allergen awareness and dietary restrictions as an asset.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen environment, with strong skills in bulk and batch cooking.
- Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and production schedules accurately.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Team player with a flexible attitude and a willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Knowledge of allergen and dietary meal preparation is considered an asset.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
