We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing metal products to meet quality standards through grinding, sanding, polishing, and inspection processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in metal fabrication who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on exp)
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform metal finishing operations, including grinding, sanding, and polishing
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and dimensional standards are met
- Use hand and power tools to remove excess material and smooth surfaces
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
- Assist in other production areas as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience in metal finishing, grinding, sanding, or polishing
- Knowledge of metal materials, particularly cold rolled steel and aluminum
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and tracking production
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Product assembly experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
