Sizzling Tandoor Restaurant is currently hiring servers for our Downtown location.
The Sizzling Tandoor name has become an icon of Indian cuisine; Sizzling Tandoor is Downtown Victoria's oldest Indian restaurant, serving authentic Indian cuisine with a modern twist since 2010. Since then, the Sizzling Tandoor Group has opened two additional locations - Sizzling Tandoor in Westshore Town Centre, and Kinu Restaurant at Uptown Mall.
Sizzling Tandoor Downtown is currently looking for experienced, motivated servers who are interested in joining a team of individuals who take pride in embodying the Sizzling Tandoor brand identity. We are looking for individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. A desire and willingness to learn about the current food and beverage offerings in depth will be essential to a candidates success in the role. Existing knowledge of liquor, beer and wine is an asset, but not required.
We are looking for applicants with an outgoing personality who will provide guests with a personalized and memorable experience. This job is for individuals who are able to efficiently multi-task, work well with others, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure guest safety.
- Handle cash and process transactions using POS systems.
- Provide exceptional customer service and address guest inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environment (required)
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction (required)
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations (preferred)
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Silverware POS (preferred)
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Understanding of basic food preparation and sanitation practices
