Job Overview:
The Solid Core Manufacturing Operator supports and maintains process-related equipment and operations within the Solid Core area of the facility. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments. Candidates must be comfortable working with hazardous chemicals, wear appropriate PPE, and operate in a physically demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and support manufacturing process equipment within the Solid Core area.
- Carry out self-directed maintenance, calibrations, and instrumentation activities.
- Maintain robust housekeeping standards and continuously upgrade cleanliness and safety practices.
- Record production statistics and maintain accurate documentation.
- Organize and supervise training for fellow employees, including developing training plans as per department manual.
- Collaborate closely with operators, production staff, warehouse staff, QC Manager, Quality Control Coordinator, maintenance staff, and Production Manager.
- Coordinate daily activities as needed with other production department operators and warehouse personnel.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of respirators for specific tasks.
- Safely operate forklifts (training provided if needed).
Qualifications:
- In-depth and broad experience in process and manufacturing methodology related to solid material handling or chemical processing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and proficiency with computer systems.
- Well-developed analytical and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills with peers, supervisors, and subordinates—particularly for job instruction, quality, and performance guidance.
- Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment; capable of climbing steps/ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working with hazardous chemicals (training and PPE provided).
- Forklift experience preferred; willing to train if necessary.
- Must be clean-shaven to wear a respirator as required.
- Reliable vehicle required—no bus service available during shift hours.
- Must be clean shaven and able to wear a respirator.
Additional Information:
- 2 day shifts (12 hours each) and 2 night shifts (12 hours each), followed by 4 days off, rotating through all days of the week including weekends and statutory holidays.
- Lunch provided during shifts.
- Candidates must be comfortable working weekends, statutory holidays, and overnight shifts.
- Hazardous chemical handling required; all training and protective equipment supplied.
Pay: $16.50-$22.77 per hour
